The Great Dictator

The use of symbols throughout the movie helped me to develop the poster and think of the theme behind it as I used indirect symbolism across the project. Main focus were keywords such as: Order, power, monumentality, warzone, smoke, etc. All these keywords were inspired by movie stills that were referred to throughout the project. The main character, Charlie Chaplin portrays two characters; a dictator and a simple barber.
